Here are some quick pics from our digital camera from yesterday...

This year is the first year that Delaney's birthday fell on a school day. She actually went back to school after Christmas break ON her birthday. She was bemoaning the fact that she had to go back to school on her birthday, but she was really secretly excited about it. She got to wear her brand new sparkly dress from Great-Grandma, wear a tiara all day at school and take treats. Can't beat that!

This year's theme was Scooby Doo obviously. I think she had even picked this theme out right after her LAST birthday.

We found a fun Scooby Doo cake pan. Delaney wanted this cake to be a white cake. Delaney made me a special thank you the next day for decorating her cakes. I LOVED it.

By the time all the great-grandmas, grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins and friends come, one cake just isn't enough anymore. We made a second chocolate cake.

Time to blow out the candle and make a wish!

Finally, it was time to open presents! YIPPEE!!!

The kids quickly claimed the front row seats to see the show!

Delaney received lots of cool gifts...

The new color-coordinated CD-player was blasting a Rascal Flatts CD this morning while she was getting ready for school. (And I was informed I couldn't use it while she wasn't here.)

She's going to be the best-dressed kid in her class with all the beautiful clothes she received. She decided to wear this dress to school today.

The two little ones were losing interest in the present show. They started entertaining themselves...

...and apparently cracking themselves up...

...and playing with the discarded wrapping stuff!

And everyone finds her the most adorable soccer stuff! How cute is this?

Delaney and her family would like to thank everyone for their wonderful birthday gifts and for coming to her birthday party. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.

And Kyle was more than a little jealous with all the attention Delaney received, and he wants everyone to know that HIS birthday is coming up in March. He picked a Buzz Lightyear theme, and his birthday party will be on Sunday, March 19th. Hope to see everyone there!
