I knew we were going to Indianapolis for the weekend to visit our friends Shawn & Bonnie, but I had no idea we were going to get to see Rascal Flatts at the Indy State Fair! YIPPEE!

We had a wonderful time at the fair, but I would like to introduce you to the two "ladies" who were sitting behind us. They proceeded to talk, quite LOUDLY and INCESSANTLY during the two opening acts -- including GARY ALLEN!!! HOW RUDE! Even after MANY NASTY looks, apparently they just couldn't shut their mouths. I warned Kenny if they kept talking during Rascal Flatts, I was going to get nasty -- but thankfully they at least wanted to hear them sing.

The next day we got to go sailing on Shawn & Bonnie's sailboat! How neat is that?! It was a beautiful day.

Then we came home, cleaned up and headed back out. We went to downtown Indy and took a beautiful walk by the canal.

We were all getting a bit hot, tired and hungry -- so we went to Rock Bottom to relax and get some much needed food.

Afterwards, Bonnie & Shawn surprised us with a carriage ride through downtown. How cool is that?

What fun! We had a wonderful weekend, it's so hard to try to find them time to get away, relax and spend time with friends. Our schedule is so hectic, but we're working on getting it better. We had a wonderful visit, and next time we'd like to try to show the kids some of the awesome sights too. I foresee a visit to Indy in the very near future.
